The Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2010, cover water discharges and groundwater activities, radioactive substances, waste, mining waste and installations. They also include provision for a number of Directives including Batteries.
If you already have a consent to discharge, groundwater permit, radioactive substances authorisation or registration it automatically became an environmental permit on 6 April 2010. You do not need to reapply and we will not reissue your permit. Your permit will contain the same conditions as before.

You may occasionally see reference to out of date terms for the way that we regulate. We aim to update these but, until this happens, please assume that we mean environmental permitting.
